Scott on his coaching philosophy

"My coaching philosophy can be summed up in two words: "science personalized." Decades of scientific research and data on both elite and non-elite athletes have provided a set of principles on the most effective and efficient way to train. However, each athlete is what we call in the scientific community an "n of 1" meaning that each athlete is a unique experiment. This is especially true with the everyday athlete who in addition to training has numerous responsibilities competing for their attention and time. Therefore, these scientific principles must be adjusted and applied based on each athletes goals, abilities, and constantly changing needs."
